Breast Reconstruction
Breast reconstruction is a surgery to recreate breasts after lumpectomy or mastectomy. In general, this surgery can be immediate (at the time of mastectomy) or delayed (after mastectomy, radiation, and chemotherapy are completed). The operation can be autologous (using your own tissue) or alloplastic (using implants). Every case is unique, and we strive to provide best possible outcome.

Are you a candidate for breast reconstruction?
Should reconstruction be immediate (at the time of mastectomy) or delayed (after you have healed and recovered from your cancer treatment)?
Discussing immediate reconstruction is only possible in cases where the consultation occurs before the mastectomy.
Does autologous or alloplastic reconstruction better suit your values and goals?
If alloplastic is chosen, are you a candidate for direct to implant or two stage with tissue expansion?
If alloplastic is chosen, should we place the implant above or below the muscle?
